Richard B. Fritz, 68, of Mt. Prospect, passed away peacefully Monday, March 13, 2017. Beloved husband of Nancy Fritz, nee Witt. Loving father of James B. Fritz and John W. Fritz. Devoted son of Elaine and the late Paul Fritz. Dear brother of the late David Fritz, Daniel (Elaine) Wilder, Michael (Denise) Fritz. Loving uncle of many.
Richard was born January 10, 1949 in Chicago.
He earned his PhD from Northwestern University, and was a professor at St. Xavier University. Richard won the Teacher of the Year award in 2001 at St. Xavier.
Memorial visitation Sunday, 3:00 P.M. until Memorial services at 7:00 P.M. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect.
